Vacancy: Artistic Consultant

The Manchester Mid-day Concerts Society is seeking an experienced and passionate musician to oversee its lunchtime concert series at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester.

This is a pivotal role ideal for someone with extensive education and knowledge of the classical music industry and specifically live classical concerts, with a track record of planning classical chamber concert series.

Background

The Manchester Mid-day Concerts Society was established in 1915 and is the oldest continuously running lunchtime concert series in the country, regularly attracting large audiences to Manchester’s premier classical music venue, The Bridgewater Hall. The Society aims are:

  • To provide music of a very high standard at a reasonable admission price to enable any music lover to attend;
  • To foster the best musicians by supporting young and emerging artists on the threshold of their careers.


Since its foundation thousands of both emerging and established artists have performed in the series.
