World Percussion Group
Following the stunning success of the World Percussion Group’s debut Manchester Mid-day performance in 2019 they are back for more action-packed percussive virtuosity. Established in 2015, the World Percussion Group (WPG) was created to offer an international professional development platform to a select number of highly talented percussion artists. The WPG has represented over 50 artists globally and a host of these musicians have already achieved tremendous career accolades. Grammy nominations, Gold YouTube Creator awards and Government recognition are some of many of the milestones that our artists have received to date.
In 2024 the WPG will embark on a three week tour of multiple concerts, masterclasses and presentations across the UK and Baltic Capitals. These will include Manchester, Tallinn, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki.
Experience a fusion of classical arrangements for marimba and percussion alongside some new groove-based accessible percussion literature. Whether it’s Bach or Cage that you enjoy, there will be something for everyone in this adrenaline fuelled performance from the globe’s finest young up-and-coming percussion starlets.
