Mee-Hyun Esther Park, Violin & Kumi Matsuo, Piano

South Korean violinist Mee-Hyun Esther Park has performed internationally within the UK and Europe. Recent highlights include winning 1st Prize at the Royal College of Music Violin Competition 2022, 2nd Prize of RCM Concerto Competition 2022, and performing with Maxim Vengerov and the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. Esther has given recitals at the Elgar Room – Royal Albert Hall and Korean Cultural Centre in London.
Esther studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School under Simon Fischer and Boris Kucharsky with a full scholarship from the UK Government’s MDS Grant. Afterwards, she joined the Royal College of Music with full scholarships for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies. She is currently studying for a Postgraduate degree with Professor Radu Blidar.
Future engagements include Messiaen’s Quatour pour la fin du temps at Wigmore Hall and concerts around the UK with the Brompton Quartet. Esther is generously supported by the Help Musicians Postgraduate Award 2023.
