Mahler Urlicht (Das Knaben Wunderhorn)
Frigyes Hidas Movement for trombone and piano
Fauré Les roses d'Ispahan
Rachmaninov Cello Sonata in G minor, Op.19 - Andante (3rd movement)
Hindemith Sonata for trombone and piano
Arthur Pryor La Petite Suzanne (Valse Caprice)

If you go to one trombone recital in your life, make it this one! Peter is one of the many winners of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition (in 2008, at the age of 12!) to have subsequently forged a successful career for themselves, and combines virtuosity and great clarity in his playing with sensitivity to sound and a wide stylistic range, as you will hear in this programme.

The Rachmaninov is one of the Romantic highlights of the ‘cello repertoire, and therefore an ideal showcase for Peter’s sense of legato line and musical shape.  The Hindemith is gutsy and energetic, and the rest of the programme tours the countries and the centuries in a fascinating way.
