The prize-winning Absolution Saxophone Quartet impressed both our audition panel and the Friends of the Mid-day Concerts when the tantalising sounds of the saxophone graced our annual Friends Concert last year. The quartet's refined chamber music approach will be appreciated through the arrangement of Dvořák's best known and engaging string quartet. In a wide ranging programme, 'Absolution' also features the work of Manchester based Callum Dewar, whose engaging music will also feature later in the season played by guitarist Craig Ogden.
